Poster for A Movie in a Pic Landscape Triptych, showing three black and white photographs of urban landscapes with the titles My Calle 13, Ceci n'est pas un message, and I Have a Nightmare in yellow italic text

My Calle 13 (59″) | Ceci n’est pas un message (59″) | I Have a Nightmare (59″)

Three short films inspired by the concept of landscape. Each film is part of A Movie in a Pic: a collection of short films made with a single image — a photograph shot with my Yashica. I hand-develop the negative, digitize it, and create a square film of under one minute. No other limits are imposed on this independent microfilm production process, which hybridizes analogue and digital formats.

The triptych is composed of: My Calle 13 — a reflection on the idea of “home.” Ceci n’est pas un message — what is a ruin? Do ruins carry a message from the past? A playful exchange between physical ruins and digital ones (a WhatsApp message on my phone). I Have a Nightmare — a visual reflection on how the socio-economic system reshapes the landscape.
