Part of my work lives in Fermo, the small town where I was born in Le Marche, Italy. There are many artists there, working across different disciplines, yet there was no collective gathering around the moving image. I co-founded and co-direct Adriatikino, Adriatic Analog Film Exhibition. Analog cinema naturally touches all of these practices, bringing together the material, the visual and the sonic. I love the idea to create and nurture a space where this convergence becomes an occasion to meet.

In the spirit of travel and exchange once carried across the Adriatic Sea, Adriatikino welcomes filmmakers and works from around the world. Together with Luma Experimental Film Lab, it is a way to share analog practices, to build a community around them, and to make time together. For me, cinema has always been a form of relation, with oneself and with others.
