Esta película colectiva origina en la pregunta “qué significa plagiar imágenes? Cómo es posible hacerlo?”
Compartiendo un juego y un diálogo cinematográfico, 13 cineastas crean en la distancia una película que se persigue a si misma a lo largo de varios países y se mira a si misma desde diferentes subjetividades.
Notas de Dirección
Tras haber compartido en Cuba una experiencia común, 12 directores de cine se despiden para volver a sus países y hacen un pacto: realizar una película colectiva que responda a la pregunta ¿Qué significa plagiar imágenes? ¿Cómo hacerlo en la distancia?
El mecanismo es insólito: el primero hace un corto y lo envía al otro que, a su vez, realiza su propio corto con el propósito de plagiar el que recibe y así sigue la cadena de plagios hasta llegar al último. Cada uno interpreta como quiere qué significa “plagiar” la película recibida.
Cada participante se identifica con un número del 0 al 12. El número 0 es James Benning.

This film originates from the question “what does it mean to plagiate images? How can you do it?”
12 filmmakers decide to play a game and a cinematographic dialogue: separated by geographical distance, they make a film that chases itself through different countries and that looks at itself from different subjectivities.
Directors’ note
After sharing a common experience in Cuba, 12 film directors say good-bye and return to their home countries, but before they leave, they make a pact: to make a collective film that will answer the questions “What does it means to plagiarize images?”, “How to plagiarize through distance?” <
The mechanism is unusual: A director makes a short film and sends it to the next director, who in turn makes their own short film with the purpose of plagiarising the one that they have received. Each of them interprets, in their own way, the meaning of plagiarising the short film they received.
Each participant will identify with a number from 0º to 11º. Number 0 is James Benning.
